What We Believe

We are a non-denominational, Christian church. We believe the Bible is the Word of God, written by man through God's inspiration. We believe the Bible contains all the guidelines needed for a fulfilled life. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, rose from the dead and will return.

History

RiverGlen Christian Church began in March of 1997, with the prayer and financial support of Owensboro Christian Church in Owensboro, Kentucky and East 91st Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Four postcard mailings, a billboard and newspaper articles prepared residents for the opening of the new church. On March 2nd, 1997, the doors of RiverGlen Christian Church officially opened at Waukesha West High School with an amazing 730 people in attendance!!!

After things "settled down", RiverGlen emerged as a church of about 300 people. In 1999 RiverGlen began to search for land on which to build a permanent ministry facility. On August 21st, 2001 RiverGlen purchased 41 acres of property at the intersection of Brookhill Rd. and County Hwy DE in the town of Genesee. Construction of the building began in August of 2003 and on Oct. 10, 2004 we began meeting in our new facility. Our average weekly attendance was approximately 700 people.

As of January 2012, our weekly attendance is now over 1300. We are excited to be living out our mission statement - to make more and better followers of Jesus.
